Fountain Valley Regional Hospital Appoints New Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Czajka joined the hospital in March 2010 as the Associate Administrator of Support Services. Since his arrival, he has overseen the completion of two construction projects, including the expansion of the hospital's Emergency Department Waiting Room, Triage area and Non-Invasive Cardiology Unit and the addition of a five-bed Observation Area in the Emergency Department and the successful California Department of Public Health licensing of these areas.

Mr. Czajka was also instrumental in achieving recent enhancements to the facility in the Obstetrics Unit, Intensive Care Unit and the hospital's Operating Rooms, implementing over $2 million in capital equipment upgrades to the Catheterization Labs, and the development of Fountain Valley Regional Hospital's comprehensive, outpatient Regional Diabetes Center, which offers a Diabetes Self-Management Education Program recognized by the American Diabetes Association.

Mr. Czajka has over twenty years of hospital experience with increasing responsibilities for hospital-wide clinical and non-clinical operations, strategic planning, and business development. His experience includes academic hospital management and multi-campus responsibilities. Prior to joining Fountain Valley Regional Hospital, Mr. Czajka was Associate Administrator at USC University Hospital in Los Angeles, California.
