Fantasy alternative kicks off contest for both NFL and NCAA seasons
BIRMINGHAM, Mich., Sept. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- FourPlay Sports, LLC is offering a $1 million prize to any player who completes a perfect season in a FourPlay Football league with 10 or more members for the 2016-2017 NFL or NCAA football season. In addition, each winning team's league commissioner will win $100,000 as a bonus for inviting them to the game.
"The contest rules are pretty simple," said Jeff Johnson, co-founder of FourPlay Football. "There's no fee, and no entry process. If you make all four correct picks in your FourPlay Football league from week one through the playoffs, you win a million dollars and your commissioner gets $100,000, even if their season is less than perfect."
The FourPlay Football game is an alternative to fantasy football, based on users' ability to pick four winning teams each week, allowing players to compete with friends while still cheering for their favorite teams. In FourPlay Football leagues, about half of the players win and half of the players lose each week. Each player picks four teams to win, based on the app's spreads, and are allowed a 14-point teaser. If all four picks are correct, they collect a set amount of "Juice" from each player who did not make four correct picks that week.
