"Fracking Truth" Author Chris Faulkner Talks Fracking With Chicago AP High School Students Tomorrow

DALLAS, June 2, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Chris Faulkner, Breitling Energy CEO, Chairman and author of "The Fracking Truth: America's Energy Revolution: The Inside, Untold Story" will discuss America's energy future with students at one of Chicago's largest High Schools tomorrow about how the technology of hydraulic fracturing, more commonly known as "fracking" has changed America's oil and gas landscape.

Dianne Lebryk teaches Advance Placement Environmental Science at Lane Tech, one of Illinois largest schools with over 4,000 students.  She began showing the movie "Gasland" to her classes when it came out in 2011 and adopted an initially negative perspective toward fracking, mostly based on the movie's biased argument and sensational images.  Also, there was no viable counter-point perspective to the claims in Gasland, many of which have been proven inaccurate by organizations like the Colorado Oil and Gas Association and others.  Mrs. Lebryk discovered Chris Faulkner's book when it was made available to teachers nationwide last year.

She discussed its staunch defense of fracking and American energy independence with her husband during a trip from Chicago to Phoenix in the couple's new all-electric Tesla, and Faulkner's arguments made sense.  She then introduced "The Fracking Truth" to her classes, who have been studying and discussing the issues chapter-by-chapter.  After completing the text, Mrs. Lebryk invited Chris Faulkner to address the students via Skype, but he was so honored by the story that he opted to fly to Chicago to meet the teacher and students in person.
