Fred Couples to Host Masters Special on SiriusXM

NEW YORK, April 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- World Golf Hall of Fame member and 1992 Masters Champion Fred Couples will host a live Masters preview show on SiriusXM tomorrow, April 5 (6:00-8:00 pm ET/3:00-5:00 pm PT).

The special edition of The Fred Couples Show will feature Couples and co-host George Downing previewing this year's Masters Tournament and its competitors.  Couples announced earlier today that he will not compete in this year's Tournament because of ongoing back problems.  The show will air live nationwide on SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio (Sirius channel 208, XM channel 92 on satellite radios and on the SiriusXM app).

Couples will share some of his favorite memories from Augusta National, where he has had extraordinary success.  He won the Masters by two strokes in 1992, has recorded eleven top 10 finishes in his career there, and in recent years continued to play his way onto the leaderboard among players much younger than him. Remarkably, since his 50th birthday Couples has finished in the top 20 at the Masters five times, including a sixth place finish in 2010.

In addition to discussing this year's tournament Couples, a die-hard sports fan, will talk with his audience about several of the headline topics across the sports world – the start of MLB season, the just concluded NCAA Tournament, NBA and more.
