Gavish Real Estate Launches Home Buyer Education Program

LAS VEGAS, March 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Gavish Real Estate, Southern Nevada's largest independent real estate brokerage with offices in Las Vegas and Pahrump, NV, has launched a home buyer education program largely targeting "boomerang buyers," the term used to describe homeowners who lost a home early in the recession and are now ready to own again. This market sector remains at a point of emergence, given the window of time that has passed since its credit history and financial standing was eradicated by foreclosure, bankruptcy, and other economic setbacks associated with the 2008-09 crash.

Down payment savings is considered the primary hindrance to a full revitalization of the national housing market. To remedy that, banks are announcing mortgage programs that require as little as 3% down. However, such products are creating scrutiny among industry critics. Gavish Real Estate is instead holding a series of courses that discuss the array of opportunities for buyers to receive down payment assistance for more standard lending programs.

"The problem for most people isn't the ability to repay month-to-month, it's parting with the cash-cushion needed to get in the game," said Iddo Gavish, CEO of Gavish Real Estate. Courses held to date have been at capacity, indicating that buyer demand is increasing across Southern Nevada. They also include informative discourse on lending by local mortgage professionals, lectures on the buying process led by experienced Gavish Real Estate agents, as well as information on what state and federal assistance programs are best suited to each prospective buyer.
