Gold Star Mortgage Employees Support Red Cross Blood Drive

ANN ARBOR, Mich., March 11, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Employees of the Gold Star Mortgage Financial Group have responded to an appeal from the American Red Cross to donate blood.

During an appeal inside the company, 45 Gold Star employees signed up to become donors, after which the appeal was broadened to the public at-large. Gold Star has invited people throughout the Ann Arbor community to join the Gold Star campaign and donate blood on Friday, April 5^th from 10:00AM to 4PM.

"Every year the Red Cross struggles to maintain the levels of blood they need," explains Brooke Hoag, Community Commitment Liaison officer for Gold Star. "That's why our employees have stepped up at this time to donate blood."

Residents of the greater Ann Arbor area can learn how to join Gold Star employees in their special blood donation campaign by calling Hoag at 800-201-5626 or prospective donors can call 1-800-RED-CROSS or go to www.RedCrossBlood.org. Healthy individuals who are at least 17 years of age and weigh a minimum of 110 pounds are eligible to donate blood.
