Gone In 140 Seconds: Pizza Hut® To Conduct Speed Interviews For New 'Manager of Digital Greatness'

DALLAS, March, 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- As a way of redefining the art of interviewing, Pizza Hut will experiment with a new concept in its search for the "Manager of Digital Greatness" by giving candidates 140 seconds to sell themselves for the position.

The interview technique, which will debut at the popular Interactive Festival this week in Austin, Texas, is an ode to the often forgotten elevator speech, which requires clear, concise communication when presenting an idea in a limited amount of time. The speed interview also connects with today's digital age, where conversations constantly unfold in real time through 140-character Tweets.

Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing, the Manager of Digital Media – i.e. Manager of Digital Greatness – will be responsible for guiding the digital team as it engages with the Pizza Hut fan base. This person must be a true social media maven, staying on top of digital trends and executing new ways to make Pizza Hut the undisputed champ within the digital space. Pizza Hut has more than 10 million brand likes on Facebook, the most Twitter followers in the pizza category and is extremely active on Pinterest, Instagram, YouTube, among other platforms.

In Austin, interviews will take place at the Hilton Austin at 500 East 4th Street from 1-5 p.m. this Sunday, March 10. Candidates must bring a photo I.D., smart phone and will be required to apply for the position online prior to the interview.  A Pizza Hut representative will be located in the main lobby of the hotel to direct interested festival attendees to the interview area.
