Governor Rendell Signs Execution Warrant for Jermont Cox
HARRISBURG, Pa., May 28 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Governor Edward G. Rendell has signed an execution warrant for Jermont Cox, 39, who was convicted of the 1992 murder of Terence "T" Stewart in Philadelphia in retaliation for a drug-related robbery and carjacking.
Cox was sentenced to death in April 1995. He is held at the State Correctional Institution at Graterford.
His execution by lethal injection is set for Thursday, July 22, 2010.
Governor Rendell has now signed 104 execution warrants.
