grandPad® Senior Tablet Announces Service and Support in Spanish

ORANGE, Calif., Aug. 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- grandPad® senior tablet says "Bienvenido" to an expanding customer base with the introduction of Spanish-speaking support and software.

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, there are approximately 3.8 million Hispanic adults age 65 or older living in the U.S. Additionally, Pew Research Center reports that 73 percent of Hispanic people living in the U.S. speak Spanish at home with their family members. To better serve families who speak Spanish, grandPad® senior tablet will roll out Spanish as a language option.

"Our mission is to improve the lives of millions of seniors by connecting them with family, friends, and caregivers. Supporting more languages is another step in achieving this mission," said grandPad founder Scott Lien.

All grandPad® senior tablets will have the option to set the language to Spanish. For existing users, switching to Spanish will be as easy as pressing the "Help" button and asking their assigned customer service agent to change the language for them. To ensure that Spanish-speaking users have access to high-quality customer support, grandPad® will also begin offering their white-glove customer support services in Spanish.

grandPad® senior tablet is known for its top-tier U.S.-based customer support. This support provides members access to trained, professional staff members who can help them with everything from placing a video call to downloading their favorite songs.

In addition to music and video call capabilities, the grandPad® offers users the ability to check the weather, play games, and send and receive emails and photos. The tablet comes connected to high-speed internet right out of the box, helping bridge the gap of senior loneliness by offering easy and effortless contact with friends, family, and the world.
