WASHINGTON, June 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Gryphon Technologies, LC was awarded a competitively bid single award contract to provide Mission Integration services in support of the Sea-Based X-Band Radar as it conducts its strategic mission.

The Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) mission is to develop, test, and field an integrated, layered, Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends against all ranges of ballistic missiles in all phases of flights. SBX was developed by the Missile Defense Agency and is a component of the BMDS. The SBX tracks, discriminates, and assesses long-range ballistic missiles as part of the Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) system. If all options are exercised, the contract is expected to be completed in June 2024.
