Hayneedle.com Cuts Ribbon on New Distribution Center in Monroe on Thursday, July 15, 2010

MONROE, Ohio, July 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Hayneedle.com, a leading online retailer of home furnishings and lifestyle products, will open its new customer distribution center at the Monroe Logistics Center, located about 20 miles north of downtown Cincinnati, on Thursday, July 15, 2010.  

The new facility will serve as Hayneedle's primary customer distribution and fulfillment center, and is expected to employ up to 85 people by year-end.  The Hayneedle Distribution Center in Monroe currently employs 45 associates.  Hayneedle.com recently surpassed $1 billion in sales since being established in 2002.

In February 2010, Hayneedle signed a lease with Industrial Developments International (IDI) to occupy the 501,357-square-foot building.  The new facility has been submitted for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification, the nationally accepted benchmark that defines the standards for high-performance and environmentally responsible development. Features include increased natural lighting with skylights and windows, reduced energy and water usage, motion-sensor lighting, low-emitting adhesives, sealants, coatings, and early suppression fast response (ESFR) sprinklers.
