IMMUSE™: IMMUSE™ and Global Empowerment Mission Deliver Lifesaving Aid to Mozambique After Cyclone Idai

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla., April 5, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- IMMUSE™ and Global Empowerment Mission (GEM) provide lifesaving aid to the people of Mozambique in the aftermath of Cyclone Idai.

Tropical Cyclone Idai made landfall near Beira City in central Mozambique in the early hours of March 15th. The category 2 storm brought high winds, heavy rainfall, and flooding not only to Mozambique but to Zimbabwe and Malawi, leaving extensive destruction in its wake. Hundreds of people were killed, thousands remain missing and UNICEF estimates that over 1.8 million people, between all three countries, have been affected by Cyclone Idai.

Through the incredible relief efforts of Global Empowerment Mission and in partnership with IMMUSE™, disaster relief aid like food and water purification systems has been delivered to 100 remote villages in an effort to decrease the likelihood of more diseases, like Cholera and Malaria, spreading. With boots on the ground, GEM has also purchased building materials and relief teams have helped to rebuild the roofs of the Lamego School in Mozambique. Along with emergency aid, IMMUSE™ has also been distributed to communities to provide individuals with nutrient-rich peptides and essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants in an effort to keep their immune systems strong during this time.
