Jane Riley New Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Society of Compliance Professionals

DENVER, Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Leaders Group is proud to announce that our Chief Compliance Officer, Jane Riley, has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors at the National Society of Compliance Professionals.  In 2004, Jane joined the NSCP to further her Compliance expertise with other like-minded professionals. Since joining, her role as a member has continued to grow.  After attending her first meeting in Washington, D.C. in 2006, Jane was asked if she would be interested in creating a group in Denver, and a result, Jane formed the Denver Compliance Roundtable in 2009.  After the success of the Denver chapter, the NSCP asked Jane to become the Chairman of the entire National Roundtable Committee in 2010, and eventually a board member in 2012.

As Chairman, Jane has been responsible for organizing the upcoming national meeting of the NSCP in Washington, D.C. in October.  This year, they expect to see 1,000 attendees and nearly 120 workshops over three days in October.  Among the keynote speakers this year will be:  Andrew Bowden, Director of the agency's Office of Compliance Inspections and Examinations at the SEC, Lynette Kelly, Executive Director of the Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board, and Chip Jones, Senior Vice President of Member Relations for FINRA.

The committees have provided invaluable resources to the compliance community, as otherwise there are not many resources readily available. Whether to answer a simple question, or to provide valuable insight into a complex issue, valuable bonds have been created through each chapter of the NSCP. Jane Riley knows first-hand about this, as the connections she has made since joining allow her to reach out to some of the brightest minds in the compliance community.
