SEOUL, Korea, June 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- #EXPO -- The 25th Korea International Broadcasting, Audio & Lighting Equipment Show (KOBA 2015) took place in Halls A, C and D and the Convention & Exhibition Center at COEX from May 19 to 22.
The industries which KOBA represents are considered highly valuable, focusing on mobile, smart media, display, LED and contents. KOBA 2015 presented a vision of next generation's growth industry.
Well-known companies participated in KOBA 2015, showing cutting-edge technologies and high-definition videos which have improved greatly in both image quality and stability from years before.
About 10,000 exhibits focusing on 700 different kinds of products were on display. Major booths for the high-tech broadcasting and moving-image sectors were 4K/8K, UHD, 3-D, smart TV, mobile TV, digital contents, cameras, VTRs, editorial systems, transmission equipment, editing devices, signal generators, CATV systems, Internet and satellite broadcasting equipment, displays and LED with sound, lighting and stage equipment, including pro audio, microphones, headphones, consoles, mixers and musical instruments.
At KOBA 2015, major Korean broadcasting companies including KBS, MBC, SBS, EBS and CBS took part. Also 932 leading international companies from 32 countries participated, including Sony, Panasonic, Canon, JVC, Ikegami, FOR-A and ARRI in the broadcasting and video sector; Daikyung Vascom, DLogixs, SoundSolution and Sama Sound in the audio sector; and various lighting companies.
KOBA 2015 is a global exhibition co-hosted by Korea E&Ex Inc. and Korea Broadcasting Engineers and Technicians Association. It is sponsored by various related associations, organizations and broadcasting companies, such as KBS, MBC, SBS, EBS, OBS, CBS, Arirang and tbs (Seoul Traffic Broadcasting System). Other organizations include the Ministry of Science, ICT and Future Planning, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, Korea Communications Commission, Seoul Metropolitan City, Acoustical Society of Korea, Korea Association of Sound Artists, and Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute.
The KOBA seminar & conference took place during the exhibition at COEX Conference Center. It focused on major broadcasting equipment, such as 4K, UHD, Smart technologies and digital radios. It also dealt with overall issues in broadcasting technology, policy and industry.
KOBA also invited interested members of broadcasting companies and buyers with high purchasing power from Southeast Asian countries to seminars that were keen on marketing and export strategies. Also, it gave domestic manufacturers many opportunities to advance into foreign markets, ran an accommodation support program for foreign buyers, and started various programs to attract buyers.
