FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Liberty Power, the nation's largest independent retail electric supplier, today announced it is now serving commercial customers in Ohio. With the launch of this new market, Liberty Power is now able to provide electricity choice to the more than 530,000* eligible businesses located in the Buckeye State.
Liberty Power is now actively selling in 14 states with competitive or "deregulated" retail electricity markets. "The addition of Ohio to our portfolio of active markets is a tremendous growth opportunity for the company," said David Hernandez, co-founder and CEO of Liberty Power. "We look forward to providing Ohio businesses with the competitive electricity rates and exceptional customer service that we have been delivering to customers in retail electricity markets for over 10 years," he added.
Liberty Power is offering its full suite of electricity plans for small, medium and large commercial customers in Ohio. The company offers low fixed rates for all customers, as well as index, custom-tailored block-and-index, hybrid, and renewable products for large commercial customers. The company first began its sales and marketing efforts during the summer with contract start dates beginning in October 2012.
"Initial sales efforts in the state have been well-received and we look forward to building our presence in Ohio, one relationship at a time," stated Alberto Daire, co-founder, President and Chief Operating Officer of Liberty Power.
