"I am very excited to be a part of LifeKraze and, especially, Mission: Inspire," said Becky Sauerbrunn of the USA Soccer Team. "Not only are you offering a community of people to share your goals and accomplishments, you're also given the ability to reward and be rewarded for those achievements. That type of support is powerful and I'm honored to take part in this mission."
The launch also marks the availability of the LifeKraze iPhone application. The app gives LifeKraze's new and existing members a tool to help further change the way they live offline by changing the way they interact online through a community built on positivity and encouragement. The new mobile app allows members to share Accomplishments on the go, as well as rewarding fellow members with Points and encouraging them with Comments and High Fives. Members can redeem the Points they earn for active-lifestyle products from the platform's many brand partners, which include The North Face, Men's Health and prAna, or convert the Points for cash donations to non-profits like DonorsChoose.org.
"We are so proud to have these world-class athletes sharing their Accomplishments on LifeKraze and inspiring our community to achieve their own personal goals," said Michael Brooks Jr., co-founder and chief technology officer of LifeKraze. "With our new iPhone app, these athletes can post their Accomplishments from London, easily keeping the LifeKraze community updated as they experience one of the most memorable and important moments of their lives."
LifeKraze members are encouraged to cheer on the participating athletes by awarding them Points and offering positive comments and High Fives. The three athletes that earn the most Points between now and the end of the Summer Games will be able to select needy classrooms or school athletic programs on DonorsChoose.Org to receive a $5,000 donation from LifeKraze. During this same period, individual LifeKraze users can redeem 2,500 Points for a $50 donation on DonorsChoose.org, helping classrooms across the nation get the supplies that they desperately need. A total of $12,000 will be donated to schools through DonorsChoose.org as a result of LifeKraze's Mission: Inspire.
"We are so excited to team up with LifeKraze and their community as part of Mission: Inspire," said Jenny Morrissey, Marketing Manager at DonorsChoose.org. "Through this partnership, hundreds of students from every corner of America will receive essential educational materials, arts supplies, sports equipment and more to improve their learning experience."
