LocalMaven begins work on referral platform for realtors and the companies they refer

NEW YORK, Feb. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- LocalMaven, a NY based tech startup focused on social referrals has announced plans to launch RealtorMaven, an online platform and mobile app designed to help realtors and the businesses they work with easily give, track, and get rewarded for successful referrals. 

"New homeowners and renters rely on realtors for recommendations on everything from contractors to movers and from kitchen cabinet suppliers to lighting companies," says Arnon Rosan, CEO of LocalMaven.

"Realtors already give referrals daily and often get compensated for them. We felt the real estate industry needed a tool for realtors and businesses to manage this process and to encourage these types of referrals," he added.

RealtorMaven will become LocalMaven's first vertical market platform, part of a long-term strategy of developing customized referral platforms for specific marketplaces. 

RealtorMaven will allow realtors to invite their most trusted suppliers to join the platform and facilitates the one-touch giving of referrals to clients in a way that saves time and effort for the realtor and that can be tracked.  

RealtorMaven referrals typically come with a freebie or discount, further encouraging clients to accept the recommendation. Businesses are encouraged to offer incentives for the realtor's clients and some type of commission or reward for the Realtor. 

When a successful referral takes place, everyone receives tangible benefits–the client gets an insider deal, the business grows, and the realtor earns a commission.
