Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition Unveiled!
SEOUL, South Korea, March 22, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum and Exhibition (MIECF 2013) kicked off at Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel today.
At 9 A.M., specially invited visitors of Pan-PRD had a VIP tour. Important figures like Cui Shian (a chief executive of Macau Special Administrative Region), Wang Weizhong (Vice Minister and Member of the Leading Party Group of MOST), Li Jing (vice director of the Resource Conservation and Environmental Protection Department of the National Development and Reform Commission), Zhou Shengxian (Minister of Environmental Protection of the People's Republic of China) came and gave a congratulatory message.
The theme of MIECF 2013 held from March 21th to 23th was 'Sustainable Cities – The Way Towards a Green Future' consisting of Green Forum, Green Exhibition, Green Business Matching, Green Public Day, and Technical visits. Also, it continuously promoted the concepts of 'pay attention to environment protection', 'commune with nature', and 'share the fun life'.
This year's MIECF is attended by 400 companies from 20 countries and regions taking up to 16,000 square meters including Pan-PRD special exhibition hall, Europe one, American one, International one, Macau one and Premium participated companies one. Among them, Premium participated companies consists of about 10 companies such as Chinese environment-protection organizations, Japanese Mitsubishi, German Siemens, Singaporean EV World, Philips, Twain Thanh Hoa and Macau Nam Kwang Natural Gas.
Green Forum and Green Exhibition were the most important parts of MIECF 2013. Domestic and foreign experts, scholars and key figures in the industry would gather at one place, having time to present about current state of Eco-friendly industry with future outlook. This year's keynote speakers were Prof. Jeffrey Sachs, internationally renowned academic in the environmental protection field and Prof. CS Kiang, Chairman of Peking University Environment Fund.
And a lot of forums encouraged industry associations, governmental officials and business or social organizations to interact with each other. Companies which participated in MIECF 2013 would introduce a variety of products related with energy efficiency, renewable energy, green construction, green traffic, solution for waste and water quality control and environmental service. This exhibition was expected to promote technical exchange between Macao Green Business, Pan-PRD and the international market.
Many events, such as the 'Green Matching', 'Buyer Invitation Program', 'Green Business Networking Cocktail Reception', and 'Green Public Day' event which helped companies from all over the world to promote their products and find the service they want, was also planned. All things provide visitors and buyers with various visual entertainments.
The 6th MIECF 2013 since 2008 had been attracting more visitors and expanding its exhibition scale. A record of 6400 visitors from 53 countries attended last year.
