Majestic Athletic Introduces the New MLB On-Field Flex Base Uniform System

TAMPA, Fla., Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Majestic^®, the official uniform provider of Major League Baseball, in partnership with MLB and its 30 clubs will launch its new Flex Base uniform system on-field in 2016. The new uniform design was developed through critical insights from over 50 Major League players, innovative fabric technologies and extensive wear testing over a two-year period.  The result is a system that delivers maximum performance and mobility when the players need it most, during competition. The new Flex Base uniform system features include:

• 1) Flexibility
  Engineered with new lighter weight twill technology that enhances freedom of movement and reduces the overall weight of the jersey by 10-20%.
• 2) Cooling
  The lightweight mesh of the patented climate control Air Belt^TM and mesh panel ventilation zones on each side of the jersey give players even more air circulation and controlled uniform movement.
• 3) Comfort
  Breathable Cool Base^® moisture-wicking fabric technology keeps players dry and comfortable.
• 4) Jersey/Pant Integration
  The patented Air Belt^TM and its tapered tail work in tandem with silicone motion grippers in the waistband to eliminate jersey bunching.
