According to a recent Cricket Wireless national survey, more than half (55 percent) of Americans find it unacceptable to begin playing holiday themed music prior to Thanksgiving. Millennials are the only generation who report they are in the spirit for pre-Thanksgiving holiday jams, with 60 percent of those surveyed (age 18-29) saying it is okay to play holiday music before Thanksgiving.
In fact, the older you are, the more likely you are to find it unacceptable to begin the music playing festivities before Thanksgiving According to the survey:
- 71% of 65+ do NOT believe it's okay to play holiday themed music prior to Thanksgiving
- 63% of 45-64 year-olds find it unacceptable
- 55% of 30-44 year-olds find it unacceptable
- 40% of 18-29 year-olds find it unacceptable
