LOS ANGELES, June 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Active Appliances Inc. has received a large shipment of necessary components to repair Maytag Dishwashers that have been recalled. Maytag Corporation, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has announced a voluntary recall of approximately 1.7 million Maytag®, Amana®, Jenn-Air®, Admiral®, Magic Chef®, Performa by Maytag® and Crosley® brand dishwashers because of a potential fire hazard. Active Appliances Inc. has all the necessary tools and parts and expert factory trained technicians to repair the recalled dishwashers.

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission revealed the specifics of the recall: Maytag dishwashers made between February 2006 and April 2010 could catch fire depending on the model. Owners of a recalled machine should stop use immediately and unplug the dishwasher.

The following Maytag models were affected: MDB7759, MDB7609, MDBH979, MDB8959, MDB8859, MDB7809, MDB7709, and many others.
