MediVet Equine Issues Open Letter To Clients

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky., Aug. 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- MediVet Equine began operations in 2009, selling advanced equine preventative and regenerative therapies to veterinarians. In 2013, the company was spun out as a wholly owned, standalone manufacturing and sales entity. We enjoy a solid reputation and relationship with our clients:  the equine veterinarians, trainers, and owners that care for performance horses.

With offices in central Kentucky, MediVet Equine maintains a state of the art, GTP certified laboratory and distribution center. Our products have been developed in collaboration with an extensive veterinarian team, as well as strong University research partnerships.  We have also been "vetted" by, and distribute products through Patterson Veterinary, a publicly traded, multi-national company.

In 2014, we entered into an agreement with Vecta Animal Health, an Australian start up, to test market and distribute a range of equine supplements in the United States. We eventually disagreed on strategy, tactics and business practices and we terminated the agreement, resolving to focus on our higher technology / evidence based therapeutic platforms.

We are, and remain, the original manufacturer of SGF 1000, TB 1000 and MediVet Autologous Conditioned Serum (ACS).

We recently became aware of some deceptive and false marketing claims purporting to offer one of our products, at steep discounts, by high pressure call center representatives and emails originating in Australia. There is even a "sterility certificate", dated over a year ago (April 2016) circulating on these emails. We have been advised that this company is targeting trainers and offering to sell their "product" directly to trainers and owners. (Our product is a Veterinary Use Only product.)

This disclaimer is to OUR customers, to protect you and the horses in your care. As the original manufacturer of these therapies, they are available only through us, directly, or through our distribution partner Patterson Veterinary.  MediVet has NO affiliation with any other distributor.

Common sense dictates that the purchase of sterile injectables should only be made from a source that you can confirm is "real" (not virtual), manufactures and distributes legally, and maintains strict quality standards. For the past 8 years you have trusted and worked with our company and benefitted from the results of our products and the quality and safety we guarantee.

To protect our clients, and those they serve, from counterfeiters, we are instituting another level of security. Beginning in September, each box of product that you receive from us will include a MediVet Equine "Certificate of Authenticity". We will change this certificate from time to time, but you may simply call your rep if you have any doubts, or questions.

We are US based and invite any of our customers to inspect our GTP Certified Laboratory and facilities in Kentucky, to observe our rigid quality controls. In the alternative, we can have a company representative visit your office within 24 hours.

That is an offer that counterfeiters will not make.
