BEIJING, April 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- After receiving Google's direct investment, the rising Chinese AI company Mobvoi is dipping their toes into in-car infortainment. Mobvoi has just released its first Android app tailored to drivers - Wenwen In Car. In Chinese, Wenwen In Car means drive and ask. In line with Mobvoi's first voice search engine Chumenwenwen, this new Android app also leverages Mobvoi's AI technology.
Tailored To Drivers
Wenwen In Car is a new voice interaction app that allows drivers to free their hands by using their voice to perform most of the tasks. The Wenwen In Car interface gives drivers easy access to all the information drivers need: traffic updates, navigation, points of interest, and calling. The app can also be used to play music and request other information. Drives can easily trigger the voice search engine by saying "Nihao Wenwen."
It is important for drivers to keep their eyes on the road. In the past, drivers would pull their phone out of pocket and type their query; the philosophy for Wenwen In Car is to free their hands by making all information drivers need to be easily accessed by voice.
"Our voice controlled app makes driving while staying connected much safer," said Yili Lin, Mobvoi's product manager.
The app has a sleek user interface: four major large buttons on the right hand side and speech button on the left. It takes almost no time for drivers to learn how to use it and its voice search function. Other than a normal woman's voice, users can also choose different speakers such as a male or young girl.
Wenwen In Car is now available for download in all app stores.
