Mr. Stephen Ooi, Former Zimmer Executive, Newly Appointed as Independent Board Director of XinRong Medical

XinRong Medical Group has recently appointed Mr. Stephen Ooi as a member of the board of directors.

BEIJING, July 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Mr. Stephen Ooi has had more than 36 year of work experience in the Medical Device industry. Before assuming his current position as Independent Director at XinRong Medical Group, he worked as the Asia Pacific President in Zimmer company (NYSE:ZMH) for 12 years, where he directly managed businesses generating in aggregate more than USD1bn in annual revenue. Mr. Ooi's career spanned more than 30 years at Zimmer, which he joined in 1986. Previously at Zimmer, he was the Vice President of Asia in 1992 and then served as Vice President, Australasia (Asia Pacific excluding Japan) in 2001. He was promoted to the position of President, Asia Pacific Region in 2002 and reported directly to the CEO and President of the Company. He was also a member of the Corporate Senior Management Operating Committee and a Section 16 officer of the Company. Mr. Ooi retired from the Company on December 31, 2016. Prior to Zimmer, Mr. Ooi worked at Johnson & Johnson. Mr. Ooi received his MBA from the National University of Singapore in 1992.
