
N.C. Institute Of Minority Economic Development Selects V.K. Fields & Co. Public Relations To Promote 25th Annual Executive Networking Conference
DURHAM, N.C., June 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Focusing on "25 Years of Leadership, Advocacy and Growth," this year the North Carolina Institute of Minority Economic Development will host a silver anniversary celebration for the three-day Executive Networking Conference at Grandover Resort in Greensboro, N.C., June 21-June 23. Highlights of the conference will feature a forum on the state of Historically Black Colleges and Universities; a CEO dinner; numerous speakers, panels and workshops about the competitive intelligence needed to be successful in business, especially during such a changing demographic and economic landscape. Andrea Harris, president of the Institute, said, "For 25 years, the Institute has hosted the Executive Networking Conference to give small businesses, especially women and minority owned firms, an opportunity to both connect and gather information with potential customers. The conference brings corporate leaders, supplier diversity professionals and businesses together for the purpose of doing business and doing good." The 25th anniversary activities will highlight some of the Institute's major programs and accomplishments over the past quarter-century. Several hundred small businesses, as well as women and minority business owners, corporate purchasers, supplier diversity leaders, and representatives of higher education, government, and nonprofit leaders are expected to attend the conference.
