"More and more consumers are accessing health information in non-traditional settings that offer convenience and time savings," said Kristen Metzger, president of Anthem's Indiana Medicaid plans. "The health survey takes just a few minutes and enables us to better serve our members, especially those who might benefit from Anthem programs that help manage diabetes, high blood pressure and other health conditions. The Anthem Rewards card is one way we are simplifying health care so that our members can focus on their health."
The Anthem Rewards program is designed to reward Anthem Medicaid members for participating in healthy activities, such as having an annual preventive care visit with their primary care provider or participating in a tobacco cessation program. Members will be notified of how they can earn additional reward opportunities. Upon completion of an eligible activity, the incentive will be loaded to the member's Anthem Rewards card.
About Pursuant Health (formerly SoloHealth): Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Pursuant Health's purpose is to engage individuals to manage their health and improve outcomes. We accomplish this by providing a unique platform that allows the capture and integration of health related data. In summer 2010, the company received a $1.2M grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), a division of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, to help enable innovation for self-service healthcare and prevention. In 2012, following FDA-Clearance as a Class II Medical Device, Pursuant Health introduced its next-generation interactive kiosk, offering vision, blood pressure, pulse, weight, symptom checking, body mass index and overall health assessments. The company's bilingual kiosks improve outcomes by not only providing convenient health screenings, but also by giving users recommendations for follow-up care.
