Charlotte resident David Moore, an established entrepreneur and angel investor, came up with the idea for CharlotteCoupons.com after realizing how many emails he was getting from Groupon and other coupon sites. "I knew there had to be a way to make this process more efficient and to compare deals more easily," he says. "We've designed the site to be fun and easy to use. It's a one-stop shop for all the best deals and coupons in Charlotte." Moore is a recent MBA grad from Queens University's McColl School of Business.

CharlotteCoupons.com is part of a new network of coupon and deal sites owned by Moore's company, Direct Response Concepts. It's debuting in Charlotte and will expand to Los Angeles, Atlanta, Nashville, and Knoxville, Tenn., in October, with more cities to come. The network has arranged to offer deals from Groupon, Coupons.com, Yelp and Living Social in 82 of the top 100 U.S. markets.
