New York City Sits Atop Priceline.com's List Of Top 50 New Year's Party Spots

NORWALK, Conn., Dec. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Priceline.com (Nasdaq: PCLN) today released its 9^th annual list of the Top 50 destinations for ringing in the New Year. New York City topped the list, with the Midtown West area coming in at number one. Florida destinations took 12 spots on the list, while major theme park destinations in the Sunshine State and southern California appeared on the list 7 times. 

Priceline.com's top destinations list is based on thousands of hotel booking requests made by customers of its Name Your Own Price® hotel service for the days around New Year's Eve.  Commenting on this year's results, priceline.com's in-house Travel Ekspert Brian Ek said, "This is the second straight year that New York City has taken the top spot, so revelers will probably see a crowded Times Square this year. Elsewhere, New Year's crowds appear to be headed to Florida and southern California where the theme parks and major parades should see solid turnouts."
