Newt Gingrich Names Dr. Jim Garlow to Chair Renewing American Leadership

WASHINGTON, March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich today named Dr. Jim Garlow as Chairman of Renewing American Leadership (ReAL), the non-profit organization Gingrich created.

Dr. Garlow is an author, communicator, commentator, historian, and cultural observer.  For the last 14 years, he has served as Senior Pastor of Skyline Wesleyan Church in San Diego, CA and will continue to do so.

Garlow joins Gingrich's long-time spokesman Rick Tyler at ReAL, who serves as the organization's Founding Director.

Garlow's interests and expertise span a wide range of topics including history, theology, marriage and the family, and cultural trends.  He graduated from Drew University (Ph.D. in historical theology), Princeton Theological Seminary (Master of Theology), Asbury Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity), Southern Nazarene University (B.A. & M.A.), and Oklahoma Wesleyan University (A.A.).
