WASHINGTON, Jan. 21, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The next EU-U.S. summit will be held in Brussels on Wednesday 26 March 2014, following an invitation by European Council President Herman Van Rompuy and European Commission President José Manuel Barroso to the President of the United States Barack Obama.
João Vale de Almeida, the EU Ambassador to the U.S., welcomed today's confirmation of the summit date by the White House and stressed that the summit is a good occasion to strengthen further our relationship.
This will be President Obama's first visit to Brussels and to the EU institutions.
