HOUSTON, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- On Friday, September 6, 2013, notable political and business leaders will join Pastor Keion Henderson of Houston's LightHouse Church (www.the-lighthouse-church.org) in an effort to raise awareness and funds for "Keion's Korner" partnership program. Keynote speakers at the event include Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D., 18th Congressional District), Mayoral Candidate, Ben Hall and the C.O.O. of TDJ Enterprises, Curtis Wallace. The event will take place at Column A located at 1521 Austin St., Houston 77002 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Founded in 2009 by Pastor Keion Henderson, The LightHouse Church (14000 Weckford Blvd.) has quickly become a social force within the Houston community and beyond. The church is rapidly growing among the community, expanding from 139 charter members four years ago to over 2,300 members to date. Construction of a brand new 40,000 square foot, state of the art facility is slated to break ground in March of 2014.
"Keion's Korner" is a unique partnership program that will assist Pastor Keion Henderson in his endeavors and mission to spread the gospel through the "Four Korners of the World." The event will outline strategic economic and social initiatives needed to bring the mission to fruition and will propose a new partnership that will be both mutually beneficial to the cause as well as to interested members of the community.
"The goal is simply inform people of the measures Keion Ministries is taking to bring awareness to the gospel by taking it to TV, books and many more outlets," said Jacqueline Williams, Director of Quality at Lighthouse Church and Ministries. "By sharing this mission, we hope to seek out supporters who will join in on this partnership initiative and actively contribute to spreading the gospel to the "Four Korners of the world."
Guests at the private event will enjoy hor d'oeuvres, a live Jazz Ensemble as well as an opportunity to network with the likes of; U.S. Representative, Sheila Jackson Lee, who has served as U.S. Representative for Texas's 18th congressional district since 1995, Mayoral Candidate, Ben Hall, who once served as the City Attorney for the City of Houston and regularly lends political aid through numerous pro bono efforts and Curtis Wallace, the Chief Operating Officer for TDJ Enterprise who utilizes his unique combination of business and legal experience to guide clients.

Pastor Keion Dwayne Henderson was born to Gwen Scott in Gary, Indiana July 6 1981. His ministry was shaped at the Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana under the leadership of Dr. Cato Brooks Jr. On July 30, 1995 Pastor Henderson publicly announced his call into the ministry at the age of 14. At the tender age of seven, the pastor delivered his first sermon titled, "Faith, where is yours?" He initially took the leap of faith and organized New Horizon Baptist Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana before eventually organizing the rapidly growing, Lighthouse Church in Houston, Texas.
