OAK PARK, Mich., March 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Michigan based Paramount Precision Products announced today that it has acquired the CNC machining company Numerical Productions, Inc., located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Paramount, a premier minority owned supplier intends to expand its rapidly growing precision machining services to manufacturing companies located throughout the Midwest. Sheila Rossmann, CEO of Paramount stated, "We're seeing growing demand from customers that need high quality machining of automotive, industrial and energy related components. The acquisition of Numerical will give us significant additional capacity to serve the needs of customers who demand world class quality and delivery with local availability."
Paramount's customer list includes industry giants such as Ford Motor Company, ZF Industries, Fiat Chrysler, American Axle, Caterpillar, General Electric, and Dresser Rand. Rossmann explains, "We're fortunate to have forged strong relationships with industry leaders who value our performance and capabilities, but also companies who desire to source business with a 100% minority (woman) owned business. Taking advantage of supplier diversification is a significant opportunity for procurement teams. Accordingly, we've invested heavily in new equipment, technology, and recruiting of highly skilled professionals to facilitate our growth plans and position us as the supplier-of-choice when it comes to close tolerance machining."
Recently, the Paramount team enjoyed the prestige of being named as a key supplier of machined drive axle components on several of the automotive industry's highest profile new product launches. "We're proud to have been selected as a supplier for Ford's first independent suspension Mustang. The on time launch of this critical program along with our work on the axles for the Jeep Grand Cherokee, and medium and heavy duty trucks for GM demonstrates the confidence and respect we've earned as a supplier to the automotive industry," commented Rossmann. "The strategic acquisition of Numerical Productions positions us to extend our level of quality and service to a whole new segment of customers."
Rossmann and her successful leadership of Paramount over the last 15 years also caught the eye of Ernst & Young who named her "Michigan Entrepreneur of The Year" in the manufacturing category. In addition, last year Rossmann was recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for "Excellence in Business Development and Financial Services." Rossmann concluded, "The recognition is nice, but for me the real reward has been the continued growth of the company despite one of the most difficult economic cycles in our history. We're still here and with strong new business awards and the added production capacity of Numerical Productions, we're going to continue to grow."
