Pelican Imaging Receives Investment From Panasonic

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Aug. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Pelican Imaging, the inventor of groundbreaking array camera technology for mobile devices, has extended its recent Series C round with funding from new investor Panasonic Corporation. Pelican announced in May 2013 the first closing of its Series C funding with investors Qualcomm Ventures, Nokia Growth Partners, Globespan Capital Partners, Granite Ventures, InterWest Partners and IQT.

At under 3mm thickness, Pelican's array camera is about 50% of the thickness of the best-in-class camera modules shipping in mobile phones today.
