Price of Diesel Fuel Affecting Auto Transport Costs, According to American Auto Transport
Previously Reserved Auto Transport Rates May No Longer Apply
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- As the price of diesel fuel continues to rise, many auto transport consumers are discovering that their rates are rising as well. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the national average price of diesel fuel is now upwards of $4.14 per gallon, up nearly $.02 since last week and up nearly $.24 since last year. And as a result, the average auto transport rate has risen as well.
Seasonal price increases, usually beginning in Spring and lasting through Summer, are standard for the industry, but this year they are rising faster than expected. This may have an impact on auto transport reservations made for the Spring and Summer of 2012. American Auto Transport is aware of this problem and is currently advising all customers to receive updated quotes if they have made car transport reservations before March 2012.
American Auto Transport will continue to monitor diesel price trends to ensure that our auto transport rates remain accurate. If you believe that your auto transport rate may no longer be accurate due to increased fuel prices, please contact American Auto Transport at (866) 327-7863 or visit http://www.autotransportaat.com for an updated auto transport quote.
