Procore Launches Procore Drive - Secure File Sharing for Construction

CARPINTERIA, Calif., Jan. 13, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Procore Technologies, Inc., the leader in cloud-based construction management software, today released Procore Drive, a new file storage and synchronization application. Procore Drive allows teams to share and collaborate on large files without the impediments of FTP clients or other cumbersome file sharing solutions. Procore Drive adds to Procore's established project management platform designed to increase project efficiency by streamlining communication and collaboration.

Procore Drive delivers the speed, security, and scale required by enterprises to collaborate between mobile devices, laptops and desktop computers. Drive is a fast, simple document management platform with rapid file upload and download, plus drag and drop functionality. Users can select documents directly from their desktop, Outlook, or Gmail and drop them into Procore Driveâ€"â€"including entire folder structures. All files housed in Procore Drive are automatically synced with Procore's cloud-based project management application.

Procore Drive creates a seamless editing environment where Microsoft Word and Excel files can be updated directly within Drive. All changes in Drive are automatically saved to the user's desktop, Procore Drive, and synced with Procore's cloud-based application and mobile apps. Procore Drive also eliminates version confusion by allowing a user to check out a file for a designated period of time, preventing simultaneous revisions.

Procore Drive also allows teams to manage their Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 project schedules, providing the most recent schedule, Gantt charts, and scheduling tasks in Drive without having to open the native scheduling software application. All schedule changes made in Drive can then be saved and synced with Procore's cloud application.
