Quill.com Turns to Facebook to Boost Breast Cancer Awareness
'Hello My Name Is Hope' Program Seeks to Raise Money for Research, Treatment and Education
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill., Sept. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- To boost breast cancer awareness, Quill.com is inviting Facebook users to create a virtual name tag to honor both survivors and victims of the disease. The familiar "Hello My Name Is" stickers take on new meaning with personalized messages of hope and support shared across the Facebook community.
As part of a new campaign from Quill.com, a leading business-to-business online and direct marketer of office products, the application will let Facebook users post and personalize virtual "Hello My Name is Hope" stickers on their profiles.
For every sticker shared, Quill.com will donate $1 - up to $20,000 - to City of Hope, a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center dedicated to research, treatment and education.
"Quill.com is committed to supporting breast cancer research and City of Hope. We're excited to introduce a new campaign that gives everyone involved a voice and helps spread a powerful message of hope and community," said Mike Patriarca, president of Quill.com.
During September and October, every sticker created will be displayed in a community gallery on the Quill.com Facebook page, creating a virtual wall of breast cancer messages and images.
