ReadyTalk QA Team Conquers Prelims Of 2016 Software Testing World Cup

DENVER, Nov. 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The quality assurance team for ReadyTalk, a leading provider of cloud communication services, was awarded the title of top software testers in North America by virtue of its victory in the Software Testing World Cup (STWC) North America Preliminary competition held last month.

The team, RT Pest Control, is comprised of Nick Bitzer (DevOps engineer), Alex Abbott (software development engineer in test), Zala Habibi (senior quality assurance engineer) and Sam Yacobucci (former quality assurance engineer). The foursome beat out 20 other teams from across the U.S. and Canada in a 3-hour online competition during which the teams tested a sports betting website for everything from usability to security, wrote detailed bug reports, and compiled a final test report consisting of a high-level overview of all discovered issues.

As a result, ReadyTalk's team will move on to face winners from Europe, South America, Asia, Africa and Oceania at the STWC Finals, taking place in-person on December 5 during the Agile Testing Days 2016 conference in Potsdam, Germany.
