Rentrak Announces Official Worldwide Box Office Results for Weekend of July 26, 2015

LOS ANGELES, July 26, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Rentrak (NASDAQ: RENT), the leader in precisely measuring movies and TV everywhere, today announced the official worldwide weekend box office estimates for the weekend of July 26, 2015, as compiled by the company's theatrical measurement services.

Rentrak's Senior Media Analyst Paul Dergarabedian commented, "Universal's 'Minions' continue to rake in the cash as the little guys dominated the worldwide box office adding another $66 million this weekend and bringing its total to a very non-Minion sized $759.4 million. Disney/Marvel's 'Ant-Man' also had a great weekend at the global box office with $60.2 million in 48 international territories and North America. Notably in the third spot, the 3-D fantasy/adventure "Monster Hunt" from China earned a whopping $46 million in just five territories and has now $211 million in the bank."
