Revised EFQM Model to Help Increase Europe's Competitiveness

EFQM launches a revised business model to help European organisations improve sustainable performance and competitiveness. The revision is based on inputs from hundreds of management professionals throughout Europe gathered over the last 3 years. The new dimensions included in the EFQM Excellence Model are speed, agility, flexibility and entrepreneurship.
"All European organisations, both in the public and private sectors, are facing new challenges. The increasing pressure to compete on a global stage with limited resources means we all have to work together to secure our future prosperity, and that of generations to come", explains Herman Van Rompuy, President of the European Council. "The EFQM Excellence Model provides a framework that encourages cooperation, collaboration and innovation that we will need to ensure this goal is achieved", he continues.

The EFQM Excellence Model is designed by organisations for organisations. Currently, 30.000 companies in Europe use this management framework.
