LOS ANGELES, July 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Richard Lewis has been cast in Red Hour Films' VAMPS starring opposite Sigourney Weaver and Alicia Silverstone. Lewis will play "Danny," a former student activist who now works as a lawyer with the A.C.L.U.

The film will be directed by Amy Heckerling (CLUELESS) with Ben Stiller and Stuart Cornfeld producing. Principal shooting starts in August in Detroit.  Lewis is best known for his role for the past eight years on the six time Emmy nominated HBO series CURB YOUR ENTHUSIASM as well as LEAVING LAS VEGAS, ROBINHOOD MEN IN TIGHTS, and DRUNKS. He also starred in the long-running Fox series ANYTHING BUT LOVE.  He has numerous awards and accolades for both his comedic and theatrical work. Richard is represented by Fortitude and managed by ROAR, with personal appearances through Super Artists and publicity through Michelle Marx, Inc.

Lewis is currently preparing for his 8th season of CURB and he continues on his Misery Loves Company stand-up tour.
