SafeNet Appoints Jon McCabe Chief Financial Officer

BALTIMORE, March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SafeNet, Inc., a global leader in data protection solutions, today announced that Jon McCabe has been appointed to the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective immediately. He succeeds Mike Branca, who has left the company to pursue other opportunities. In this role, Mr. McCabe will be responsible for SafeNet's global finance functions, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, controllership, treasury, and tax. Mr. McCabe will report directly to Dave Hansen, SafeNet's President and Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. McCabe joined SafeNet in 2010, as vice president of financial planning and analysis, where he was responsible for the company's strategic and operating financial plans and performance, pricing strategy and administration, and operational performance assessment and decision support across all aspects of the business. Prior to joining SafeNet, Jon held a similar financial role at McAfee, Inc., as well as various accounting, finance, and business operations roles at Verizon and Genuity prior to McAfee. Jon holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from The Ohio State University, and is a Certified Management Accountant.
