He was appointed by Governor Nathan Deal to serve as a member of the Governor's Office Health Insurance Exchange Advisory Committee; and appointed by then Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as a member of the oversight committee for the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Azziz makes his home in Beverly Hills, California. He is married to Cindy and has three children.
