Shrimp sold at Hy-Vee recalled for undeclared allergen
The product may have contained sulfite, a preservative that can cause allergic reactions in people who are sensitive to the chemical.
WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, June 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Hy-Vee, Inc. is informing customers in eight states that some shrimp sold through its seafood counters is being recalled due to the presence of an undeclared allergy.

The product in question can be identified by lot numbers 13047-1, 13038-3 and 13037-1, although consumer packages would not carry these lot numbers.
