Special Patriotic Broadcast to Air During Independence Day Weekend

Award-winning choral and symphony orchestra program to air on Fox Business Network on July 3rd at 5pm ET

WASHINGTON, June 27, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --  "Welcome Home Veterans!" is the theme of this year's Independence Day broadcast of an hour-long musical program by an award-winning volunteer chorale and symphony orchestra comprised of healthcare professionals from across the country. The broadcast, produced by the Medical Musical Group (MMG), includes patriotic and inspirational music and readings. It will air on the FOX Business Channel at 5 pm Eastern, on Sunday, July 3.

MMG's mission is to perform "Music with a Message" – a message of healing, hope, inspiration, patriotism, peace, and brotherhood. Members of the non-profit organization include doctors, nurses, and other U.S. medical professionals, who serve as goodwill ambassadors for America in over 20 nations.  They frequently perform during patriotic holidays honoring U.S. veterans.

The July 3 [paid] broadcast was taped live at the National Shrine in Washington, DC, before a live audience on Veterans Day last November. Hosts are Actors Ron Masak ("Murder She Wrote") and Lindsay Bloom ("The New Mike Hammer").  In addition to MMG's 200-member chorale and symphony orchestra, the broadcast features:

The broadcast includes the world premiere of "Desert Sand," composed and performed by gifted musician and former Acting VA Secretary, Hershel Gober.  The Egyptian born Wahby composed "The Veterans Hymn," the first song dedicated to America's veterans. Wahby is also a Senior VA Physician and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
