St Michael's Faculty Support Strike Action

TORONTO, Dec. 17, 2014 /CNW/ - On Tuesday, December 9, 2014 the unionized faculty and librarians of the University of St. Michael's College (represented by the University of Toronto Faculty Association) voted 100% in favour of authorizing a strike, if necessary. Representatives of UTFA and USMC have been in bargaining since June 2014 and entered provincial conciliation in October. The outstanding issues are job security for faculty, workplace safety, and a fair and equitable monetary settlement. Their next conciliation meeting is scheduled for January 7, 2015.
