
StackStorm launches Enterprise Edition with Netflix as major user

SANTA CLARA, Calif., Sept. 23, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- StackStorm today launched the StackStorm Enterprise Edition, used for auto-remediation of security and other events as well as for other event-driven automation use cases. Additionally, Netflix announced that they are using StackStorm for auto-remediation in a keynote given at this week's Cassandra Summit.
StackStorm's open source based event-driven automation platform is well suited for this use case, as it is able to listen to and interpret events and to then implement powerful workflow-based fixes. This type of automation saves time and money, but more importantly StackStorm based event-driven automation helps boost the operational agility of organizations, thereby improving their responsiveness to customer needs.
Netflix, one of the largest and most prominent users of the Cassandra NoSQL database, selected StackStorm for use after having considered a range of alternatives including in-house developed software and open source alternatives.
Christos Kalantzis, Director of Cloud Database Engineering, Netflix, highlighted their use of StackStorm in his keynote talk as he discussed their evolution towards a more highly automated and resilient operational model support Cassandra initially and then providing remediation as a service across Netflix.
StackStorm is demonstrating auto-remediation and other use cases at Booth 103 of the Cassandra Summit in Santa Clara, CA this week.

- Enterprise support: The Enterprise Edition is supported via built in telemetry and personalized private Slack channels with enterprise level SLAs available for purchase. Quick start, training and other professional services are also available.
