Stathis Enterprises and the World Chariot Racing Federation are launching the Pre-Olympic "Road to Rio" at the International Polo Club at Wellington, FL

Helping promote the event was actor Jack Huston, the upcoming lead as Judah Ben-Hur in this summer's feature film, Ben-Hur and local heartthrob Danté Stallone, step-brother to Sylvester Stallone.

Everyone in attendance will enjoy seeing the most prestigious polo match in the world, the 112^th annual U S Polo Championship.

The WCRF is dedicated to resurrecting Chariot Racing in the Olympics while revitalization and reshaping the sport of under saddle trotting (the new USTA) and harness racing.

Just as the lighting of the torch from Olympia, Greece today is on its route to Rio de Janeiro, the WCRF will commence its journey for the Olympics Road to Rio in 2016 from out of the ashes of Barn 9 at the South Florida Trotting Center. It is symbolic as Barn 9 was Sam Stathis's barn where the 12 horses perished in a tragic fire on March 16, 2016.

The Pre-Olympic "Road to Rio" tour will be highlighted by the exotic Chariot Racing that the ancient Olympics were founded on. Metaphorically this marks the resurrection of Chariot Racing back into the Olympic Games, on the holiest of holidays for the Greek Orthodox, Easter. The journey continues to Greece, Italy and Sicily, Spain, France, Germany, Ireland, England, Sweden, North America and ending at the Olympic city of Rio de Janeiro in August, 2016.

With international support from every equine discipline, Stathis Enterprises and the WCRF is leading the effort to return Chariot Racing to the Olympics. "This is a golden opportunity to restore peace during the Olympic Games," said Stathis. "During the Olympics historically all countries would stop wars to promote world peace through competition, camaraderie and sportsmanship. That is what we would like to make happen once again.

"How do we know the future of Chariot Racing in the Olympics?" Stathis explained, "Because we are creating the future! As chariot racing has gone into a dark age, it is being resurrected symbolically during the holiest of days, the Christian-Greek Orthodox Easter."

Stathis said the Pre-Olympics "Road to Rio" tour is raising funds for the Special Olympics and Horses Healing Hearts.

Jack Huston, the grandson of movie director John Huston and nephew of actress Angelica Huston, assisted executive producer Sam Stathis to promote the Pre-Olympic "Road to Rio" launching, meeting with perspective investors for Stathis's upcoming documentary, "Barn9", and his movie, "Chariots On Fire", which are being developed with Jon Doscher and Fran Ganguzza.

"Barn9" depicts the true story of the tragic barn fire on March 16, 2016 in Barn 9 at the South Florida Trotting Center in Lake Worth. Twelve horses perished that night, but eleven survived from God's hand but later others died by lethal injections at the hands of the veterinarians at Reid & Associates Equine Hospital, despite the valiant efforts by Sam Stathis to prevent it.   

In addition, "Barn9" will focus on new building codes, technologies, and means and methods that can be implemented by horsemen, First Responders and veterinarians to better educate them in preventing and minimizing the devastation this kind of disaster.

"Chariots On Fire" is a feature film that will trace the history of Chariots from its creation in ancient Egypt as war machines to the founding the first Olympic games in ancient Greece in 350 B.C., where Stathis was born. And then the exotic Chariots return to the Coliseum in Rome, back to the cradle of the trotter in Goshen, NY, home of Stathis's Celebrity Farm. "Chariots On Fire" will feature the modern day racing industry and the new technology that is reviving the sport's future.

"There are 3,000 barns in the Wellington area and God chose my Barn 9," Stathis continued. "From Barn 9's ashes we want to race again, allowing the miracles and the love to overshadow the devastation that is uniting us all and give us a little comfort to know that these horses did not die in vain."

Sam Stathis found the strength to write this prayer just hours after the devastation to share his love and to spread healing to all those affected.

God you know I love you and I love these horses and my community, the very vets I am challenging and their entire team have done an amazing job (well almost all) through the first emergency phases and at the moment have kept the 11 you entrusted with me alive until now.

NOT all voluntarily from day one they couldn't wait to stick the needle in one's neck and Macy's Big Boy is now doing better as I knew he would be.

God, the strongest prayer here, please take all the horses you want to be in your stable with our other twelve, including my 2016 Hambletonian horse, Celebrity Pilatus. 

You are a merciful God and will NOT let any of your creatures suffer more than they can handle. 

Please take them before I have to see them again and I will not shed one tear if that is your will.

If it is your will they survive and NOT die in the hands of a vet with a lethal injection, please give me one more miracle and let the outside experts agree to keep them alive at any cost.

I know you are busy helping millions of people around the world and I am sorry to keep bothering you, but I guess that's why you keep sending me Angels. Please send me one with a strong legal degree.
