Steel Warehouse of Arkansas adds Red Bud .530 x 79" Stretcher Leveler to its world-class capabilities on the campus of the Big River steel mill
SOUTH BEND, Ind., Jan. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Steel Warehouse of Arkansas, formally operating as ASP, part of the Lerman Family of Companies, in an effort to continue our leadership in value-added cut-to-length processing, is installing a .530 thick x 79" wide (up to grade 100) 85,000lb coil capacity Red Bud stretcher leveler at our facility in Osceola, AR. The stretcher leveler will accompany our 5/8 by 78" (up to grade 100) 100,000lb coil capacity heavy gage slitter and light gauge hot rolled cut-to-length line in Osceola. The equipment will provide world class processing capabilities on the campus of Big River Steel. Both the stretcher leveler and slitter are designed to process high strength steels. This equipment, along with our 1" x 96" Temper Pass CTL line, ½" slitter and blanking line in nearby Memphis, create a significant strategic and logistical advantage for the customers of Steel Warehouse. Both facilities have close proximity to major highways, rail and barge access to the inland waterways. We also offer complete in-house testing capabilities, including YTE and Charpy impact testing for all of your flat rolled needs. Whether it is a trade sale or toll processing, Steel Warehouse is well positioned to meet all of your sheet and plate needs from coil. We anticipate the new Red Bud equipment will be fully operational by March 1st, 2019.
