Stephen J. Czech Named To Bishop McCort Catholic High School Board of Trustees
OLD GREENWICH, Conn., Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Stephen J. Czech, a 1981 graduate of Bishop McCort Catholic High School and the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Czech Asset Management, L.P. ("CAM"), a credit-focused hedge fund with approximately $1.5 billion of committed capital under management headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, has joined the Bishop McCort Catholic High School Board of Trustees. Czech's initial three-year term commenced on November 16, 2012, after which time he will have the option to serve an additional three-year term.

"Tomorrow's Titans 2012" is awarded to 40 emerging global hedge fund managers who are making an increasing contribution to the global hedge fund industry's development and success based on their investment performance, asset size and the extent of their portfolio management responsibilities. Czech is a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Chicago Booth Graduate School Of Business. He and his family sponsor several high school scholarships at various Catholic high schools throughout the U.S. and are long-time supporters of The Jesuits.
Czech earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Marquette University and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business.
"One of the most important criterion for a new board member is that they have a commitment to Bishop McCort, and that they have a demonstrated level of interest and desire for the betterment of the school," said Ken Salem, Principal. "There is an expectation that they are vested in the mission of the school. Having accomplished board members helps in retaining and attracting exemplary students. The development of all aspects of the organization is an important part of Board member's responsibilities." Salem is excited about the addition of Czech as a board member and his work with the Board of Trustees.
In the wake of his appointment, Czech said, "It is both an honor and a privilege to serve on the BMCHS Board of Trustees. I look forward to working with Ken Salem, my fellow trustees, the faculty and staff in the years ahead to expand McCort's reputation as the preeminent Catholic, values-based high school in the region. I attribute, to a significant degree, my personal and professional success to my Jesuit education and the values-based training I received at McCort and welcome the opportunity to reciprocate by providing current and future students with the counsel, resources and skill sets necessary to succeed in the global economy."
