Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ Series Poised to Become New Design Standard for Improved Access in Catheter Delivery
New product line from Zeus enables unparalled advancements in catheter design aimed at improving patient care and clinical outcomes.
ORANGEBURG, S.C., Oct. 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Zeus Industrial Products Inc. ("Zeus") has released its latest thin-walled PTFE catheter liner as part of their Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ series. StreamLiner™ XT, the first offering from the series, was released in July with an impressive maximum wall thickness of 0.00075" (0.01905 mm). The next in the series, StreamLiner™ VT, launches October 24 and features a maximum wall thickness of .001" (.025mm) in an ID size range of 0.004"- 0.120" (.107mm – 3.05mm).
As a free extrusion, the StreamLiner™ series makes for a sturdier and more robust finished device while retaining necessary functional properties such as torqueablity, pushability, and flexibility. Both the StreamLiner™ XT and StreamLiner™ VT feature Zeus' proprietary LoPro™ technology, leveraging more than 50 years of experience in developing state-of-the-art polymer extrusion processes to achieve the thinnest components in the industry.

The lubricious new StreamLiner™ XT PTFE liner greatly improves deployment force through the lumen of the catheter for improved minimally-invasive procedures. Meanwhile, Sub-Lite-Wall® StreamLiner™ XT and StreamLiner™ VT both allow greater access to small vessels, including peripheral and neurovasculatures, enabling medical device engineers and clinical interventionalists to improve procedural success rates and minimize patient trauma.
The release of the StreamLiner™ VT was accelerated after a positive market response to the successful launch of the StreamLiner™ XT. Zeus has plans to roll out additional liners in the series but has not yet announced those release dates.
Both StreamLiner™ XT and StreamLiner™ VT will be on display at Zeus Booth #1405 at MD&M Minneapolis, November 8-9. Free product samples are also available through the company's Virtual Sample Locker (VSL) program.
